Container Handing
CONTAINER HANDLER COURSES
Operators must be trained to an essential level of skill to operate Container Handler trucks safely, efficiently, and competently. This training ensures operators understand their responsibilities and the importance of safe operation in line with workplace requirements.
By the end of the course, candidates will be able to explain the reasons for operator training and successfully complete a basic operator skills assessment, as set out in the HSE Approved Code of Practice Rider-Operated Lift Trucks (L117). This training is delivered in accordance with ITSSAR Course Categories G2 and G4.
Novice Course
Is aimed at People with no previous experience, the course will last 5 days. (Training time can be reduced if the number of trainees is less than 3)
Experienced Course
Is aimed at People who have had previous operating experience, but either do not have a certificate of basic training or are unable to provide proof that they held one. the course will last 3 days. (Training time can be reduced if the number of trainees is less than 3).
Safety Refresher
For Operators trained on different types of equipment who wish undertake a 3 year safety refresher. the course will last 7.5hrs. (Training time can be reduced if the number of trainees is less than 3).
